Easy to cook Golden Rice

I wanted to share a simple and quick yellow rice recipe with you. Yellow rice is one of my favourite dishes because of its bright colour and savoury taste. Usually, yellow rice is served with side dishes such as fried chicken, omelette, sambal goreng ati and crackers. But this time I want to try making yellow rice with limited ingredients from the store.

Ich wollte ein einfaches und schnelles Rezept für gelben Reis mit Ihnen teilen. Gelber Reis ist wegen seiner leuchtenden Farbe und seines würzigen Geschmacks eines meiner Lieblingsgerichte. Normalerweise wird gelber Reis mit Beilagen wie gebratenem Chicken, Omelett, Sambal Goreng Ati und Crackern serviert. Aber dieses Mal möchte ich versuchen, gelben Reis mit wenigen Zutaten aus dem Supermarkt zuzubereiten.

Ingredients

- 500g rice

- 750ml coconut milk

- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 2 bay leaves

- 2 lime leaves

- 1/2 tsp galangal powder

lemon grass




Preparation

  1. Bring to boil coconut milk on a medium heat

  2. Add all ingredients except rice, and cook for 5 minutes until fragrant. Stir from time to time, making sure that the coconut milk does not overflow and that the heat is constant.

  3. Add rice, and lower the heat to a minimum. cook until ready
